We performed an item analysis on the free-form text responses given about
team mission. This analysis qualified the comments into three
categories: well-defined teams, teams with definition in progress, and teams
with no clear definition. The majority of teams fell under the
well-defined team category. Here are some examples of the type of content
which we fit into each category:
Well-Defined Teams
Lead the development and execution of user research studies, translating results into concepts, prototypes, and interaction models · Champion user-centered design & usability concepts within the company for the development and delivery of top-quality products · Develop, maintain, and improve visual, written or interactive methods of communicating detailed requirement specifications to the development team with attention to detail and strategic planning · Partner with product management & development to insure that user needs, business requirements, and design goals are achieved
Provide strong stable e-commerce applications that provide the end user with an easy to learn and use interface and state of the art backend integration
Accompany web products from the start to the end of their development and ensure user-centeredness of their design.
Definition in Progress
Promote usability testing and the user-centered design process.
The only usability consists of this Usability Task Force for GUI review.
We do not a real usability team yet. Technology is relatively new to my organization. Most of our
usability consists of my strong arming people to do a dry run through a product. Or we put it out with a
feedback button, then we (I) collect the data and update in 3-6 months.
