Scott has been in the usability field since 1990 and has a Master's Degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park. He was a founding member, Secretary (2004), and webmaster for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the UXPA. At the 1998 ACM SIG CHI conference in Los Angeles, Scott was a co-panelist with Jacob Nielsen and Ben Shneiderman, discussing whether the web was fundamentally different than any other product to which we had applied UCD methodologies.

Scott has applied user-centered methods to a wide variety of products, including:

  • Mobile streaming apps for a US-based premium cable and satellite television network
  • Web site services for the preeminent men's professional basketball league in North America
  • Online teacher credential management for a large, state education agency
  • Client-server and thin-client applications
  • Business-to-business extranets

  • Online and hardcopy documentation, including performance support systems

Rich Gunther

Development

Rich is the former President of the User Experience Professionals Association, International. His service to the UXPA organization began as a Board Member and continues after the end of his term-limited role as President as he lends his experience and guidance to the organization.

Rich holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Psychology and a Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and has been in the usability field since 1998. Rich frequently speaks and teaches User Experience methodologies and strategy, and is published in the areas of Enterprise UX and Managing UX Teams.
